After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2022, Emily embarked on her professional journey at a first opinion practice in Surrey. Throughout her first year there, Emily gained valuable experience and sharpened her nursing skills. However, she always had a strong desire to specialise in Anaesthesia at a referral hospital.

Anaesthesia has always fascinated Emily due to the intricate challenges and meticulous organisation that it involves. Luckily, BVS was the perfect opportunity to pursue her goal of becoming a Veterinary Anaesthesia Nurse and this year, Emily plans to begin a certificate program in Anaesthesia whilst working at BVS to expand her knowledge further.

At home, Emily has two adorable 10-year-old Dutch Rabbits named Cola and Jim. When she’s not immersed in her veterinary work, Emily indulges in hobbies such as horse riding, touch rugby, netball and singing. These activities bring her joy and helps her to unwind from the demands of the profession.
