Dan gained an honours degree in Bioveterinary Science in 2012 and worked in several busy first opinion hospitals in a variety of roles before pursuing a career in nursing, inspired by the role of veterinary nurses in caring for hospitalised animals. Qualifying in 2020, he developed a strong interest in anaesthesia and pain management, transitioning to referral practice in 2021 to work in managing complex anaesthetic cases. Dan joined BVS at the beginning of 2024 and is currently studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, he plans to pursue the VTS in Anaesthesia in the future.
Dan is passionate about ensuring every patient has as smooth and pain free an experience as possible under anaesthesia and throughout their hospital stay, no matter how serious their condition, he enjoys working on critical and challenging cases as part of a multidisciplinary team. Referral practice provides constant opportunities to learn new things, and Dan loves getting to discuss advanced treatment techniques across different disciplines.
