I graduated from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 2011. After graduating, I worked as a general practitioner both in Portugal and in Ireland for eight years, where I developed a keen interest for small animal surgery. In 2019 I moved to the UK, completed a rotating internship in Willows Referrals Services in Birmingham, followed by a surgical internship at Highcroft Referrals in Bristol. In 2021, I rejoined Willows, embarking on a three-year residency towards a European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery. My interests cover all aspects of orthopaedic and spinal surgery, with particular interest in traumatology, angular limb deformity correction and joint surgery. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes two cats Misha and Yoda.
